There's a lot of difference between the Super and non-super receiver. The Super is all menu driven with a lot more features. A few differences I can remember: The satellites can be named/edited UHF remote Selectable RF configuration- C only, C/ku, Dual C, LNBF (voltage switched Polarity) Built in V/H C/Ku switch (2 inputs for lnbs) More satellite and favorite channel memory A satellite "realign" function to bring all satellites back into proper program at once if the count gets off or the drive moves. (You can do the same thing with a 4400 by sending it to a known satellite, unhooking the pusle wire from the drive and jogging the dish E & W untill you get it lined up and then reconnect the wire.) The remote is larger with a lot more buttons including a set of 4 arrow buttons to navigate the menus and name/rename satellites They've always been one of my favorite receivers. I sold/used a lot of them. I still have one, although I'm not using it at the time. One of the best/easiest receiver to program ever made. The original 4400 is the fastest receiver to program I've ever used. I could program all 18 c band satellites in less than 10 minutes. (That was back when they all had an analog unscrambled channel that's easy to identify) 4400 and Supers and most Unidens have one drawback- They are too sensitive on the reed counter and it doesn't take much noise to make them loose count. Long cable runs, unshielded wire on the posistioner, etc.. will make them creap off satellite every few weeks or whatever, depending on how much you move the dish. Enjoy.
