First I would like to Wish Everyone a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving, In reference the Bad remote I am a Ham radio operator with 14 grandkids and they always mess up the remotes on everything and I try and fix them. I have a Drake 1824 C/KU Receiver and the UHF remote is getting old and sometimes the buttons do not work I have fixed it about 3 Times
And this should also work on other remotes too Carefully take it apart Get some Rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush Clean the contacts, Dry it good, Then get a Number 2 Lead pencil use the eraser to also clean the contacts, then use the other end and put a mark on each contact, Put it back together and in my case the Remotes work like New Good Luck Don KA9QJG ------------------------ Yahoo!
