Now that I have my MPEG2-DVB receiver all working nicely, I need to control
it & my Sierra III from 2 other rooms in the house. Only problem is that
I've had a lot of bad experiences with UHF IR remote extenders. I live on
top of a hill & have a 439 MHz 15 watt link transmitter at the house, which
pretty much makes every one I've tried useless. I need an IR remote
extender that uses either 900 MHz or the AC power lines to relay the IR
signals (2.4 GHz is pretty busy in this neighborhood too, but 900 seems
better as my 900 MHz cordless phones have quite a bit more range than I
expected). For one room I could even use a wired interface, & have
considered building my own using an IR photosensor & diode, but I'd rather
buy something pre-built if it exists somewhere. Any ideas? Thanks.

Bob
