Wednesday Evening (12-05) a Delta II rocket (7420 configuration) is 
scheduled to launch the COSMO-2 satellite for the Italian Space Agency 
from SLC-2W, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.

Launch attempt is scheduled 9:31 p.m. EST.

Satellite separation is scheduled for 58 minutes after launch.

COSMO-2 (Constellation of Small Satellites for Mediterranean basin 
Observation), built by Thales Alenia Space Italia for the Italian Space 
Agency and the Italian Ministry of Defence, consists of four 
medium-sized satellites designed to offer both civilian and military use 
of an Earth-watching X-band Syntetic Aperture Radar instrument.

AMC-16 @ 85°W Transponder 21 Ku (12120 V)

Audio: Channel 1 English; Channel 2 Italian

Test signal starts at 8:45 p.m. EST.

Coverage is expected to start about 9 p.m. EST.
