Launch attempt is scheduled 9:31 p.m. EST. Satellite separation is scheduled for 58 minutes after launch. COSMO-2 (Constellation of Small Satellites for Mediterranean basin Observation), built by Thales Alenia Space Italia for the Italian Space Agency and the Italian Ministry of Defence, consists of four medium-sized satellites designed to offer both civilian and military use of an Earth-watching X-band Syntetic Aperture Radar instrument.
