That would do it, but would cost DirecTV a bundle of money to replace all 
the boxes and cards out there.  I doubt it would happen for a while. 
Besides, those guys are also watching Bell ExpressVU on those FTA boxes. 
They would just all move over to that service instead.  You can't stop them, 
I guess.  And you are right, noone had hacked the DTV units since the card 
swap from HU to P series cards.  I have read that the cards can be read, but 
not written to.  This stopped them in their tracks.  DTV uses something 
other than MPG so it is not available on any other recievers on the market. 
I'm surprised they haven't gotten into 4DTV yet.  Probably because most are 
of the mindset that there is NOTHING on CBand anymore to watch.  I think 
they are missing the boat there.
