if you use that setup ,do not use a Diseqc switch(normally used for an FTA receiver) it puts a voltage to your lnb and with the polarity voltage from your Cband receiver you will have a conflict. I've read this subject, "Receiving Digtal FTA" helping other member, Don on how to set up HIS Digtial FTA. I'm from Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. I am wondering could you help me how to setup to receive Digital FTA with my BIG DISH??? I would like to know how would you setup to receive Digital FTA with the BIG DISH, or BUD. I have a 10 foot KTI mash satellite dish antenna. Someone told me once that Pansat receiver was tested with the big dish successfuly. My C/Ku band LNBs says "Digital Ready" and they're on a Co-Roter II feedhorn. The Ku band LNB also says, "Digital Ready" and "Freq: 950 - 1450 MHz." I have a analog C/Ku band receiver, GENERAL INSTURMENT 650i or GI 650i which also controls the actuator arm to move the dish as well. NOT a Horizon-to-Horizon mount, H-180. I can go from AMC-6 to W7 satellites. But not in a horizon with the actuator arm. I have a Viewsat 2000 Platinum Digital FTA reciever. Now my question for you is, since I'm using the GI 650i to browse my BIG DISH, should I disconnect the Ku band cable that's coming from the Ku band LNB to the GI 650i, and connect it to the DiSEqC device and then from the DiSEqC to the Viewsat receiver???? Do I need to go the GI 650i to swich modes, from C-band to Ku band in order this setup to work??? Because the GI 650i is focusing on the C-band LNB. It shouldn't make any difference because I would be using a cable coming in from the Ku band LNB seperately on the same feedhorn??? I still would want to see analog feeds on C-band that are still up there. Hope you could help with suggestions that you might have.
