Wednesday morning (12-10) International Launch Services Proton M/Breeze 
M rocket  is scheduled to launch CIEL II communications satellite for 
Ciel Satellite Group, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, from Launch Pad 39, 
Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan.

Launch is scheduled for 8:43 a.m. EST.

Spacecraft Separation is approximately 9 hours and 12 minutes after liftoff

CIEL II is a Spacebus 4000, the largest and most technologically 
advanced Spacebus 4000 satellite built to date by Thales Alenia
Space Cannes, France. CIEL II has 32 Ku-band transponders (100 to 
200-watt TWTA) and is the new generation of Canadian telecommunications 
satellites offering  Advanced Broadcast Satellite Service delivering 
high-definition and other TV services throughout North America; anchor
customer is DISH Network Corp.

Ciel II  satellite will be located at 129° West Longitude.

Ciel is a Canadian owned and controlled organization that is supported 
by a strong combination of partners, including: BPC Telecommunications 
Corp, a company controlled by Borealis Infrastructure which is part of 
the OMERS Pension Plan's group of companies; Canadian satellite pioneer 
Brian Neill; and SES AMERICOM, an SES S.A. Company.
Ciel II satellite will be operated from a new Satellite Operations 
Centre at SED Systems in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Satellite Broadcast coverage:

AMC-1 at 103°W, transponder 9 C-Band (3880 Horizontal) analog

Test signals begin about 8 a.m. EST
Broadcast starts about 8:20 a.m. EST.

New Skies NSS-7 22.0°W, transponder ENV8/EUH8 Channel AB, Ku-band, 
downlink 11684.5 horizontal, symbol rate 5632, digital

PAL

Test signals start at 1300 GMT
Broadcast starts at 1320 GMT.
