short answer: no. I'm not sure how this slipped by, because I ran into
the same problem in PBP. I guess I just forgot about it.
The longer answer is in two parts.
First, you can use 'formclear' to clear all checkboxes/etc.
Second, I will fix this problem with the next release. I expect I will
stick with your suggestion,
