Hi Ravi:
please try using growisofs since you want to
write a DVD.
growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/dvd=image. iso

Tried that, but got the below error.
[ravika...@ravikanthdabba /]$ growisofs -dvd-compat -Z
/dev/dvd=/home/ravikanth/Desktop/Apps/THX/CRZ0NNW7.iso
Executing 'builtin_dd if=/home/ravikanth/Desktop/Apps/THX/CRZ0NNW7.iso
of=/dev/dvd obs=32k seek=0'
/dev/dvd: "Current Write Speed" is 4.1x1352KBps.
:-[ wr...@lba=0h failed with SK=3h/ASC=0Ch/ACQ=80h]: Input/output error
:-( write failed: Input/output error
Then I tried as root and got the below error.

/dev/dvd=/home/ravikanth/Desktop/Apps/THX/CRZ0NNW7.iso
