Carry on the following Steps
1. Type *about:config* in the address bar
2. Search for *network.security.ports.banned.override.  Note: This property
may or maynot be present*
*    *2.1 If present, set the value to the desired port (the one which is
blocked/restricted)
    2.2 If not present, create a new property string by right clicking on
the config window, select new->string and set the Preference Name as follows
         *network.security.ports.banned.override*
        Set the value of the port to the desired port that has been
blocked/restricted.

  You can specify the port no as follows

 Eg. 1-800  (range)
       8080, 1503 (comma seperated value)

I have tried this on firefox (version 3.0.14) and carried out step 2.2
Try this, it should work!!!
