Hi Gautham, There is good future if you specialize in Open Source Technologies.
If you are keen to make your career in Web Dev/ WEB 2.0 Application Development .. then you can seriously consider Open Source Web Development Platform. Alternatively you can also consider Unix / Linux systems development ... for this you should be strong in C/C++ , Unix internals etc You can also consider career as networking expert .... here you can work as Linux system Admin, Network security specialist etc All the above are seperate career streams based on open source technologies. Basically you need to have the aptitude and 'real interest' in any of the above career streams. Regarding institutes ... For Systems Development , Device Driver Dev ... Veda is good [ www.techveda.org ] For PHP, WEB 2.0 App Dev ... SkillBase is good [ www.skillbase.in ] For Linux Admin .. Amritha Institute is good [www.amritahyd.org ], you can also consider COSS for this.
