Hi All,
I need a tower-server for our organization but not sure about the configuration
adequate for my needs.
My requirements are as follows :
I plan to run atleast 3 Virtual Machines using VMWare ESXi 4.0 over it. These
would host my Gateway server,DHCP ,SVN server, VNC server, squid , monitoring
tools like Ntop or mrtg etc.
2 windows 2003 server also with FTP enabled and accessible from client side.
There would be 2 Diallers behind our server whose data will pass through our
server but no processing needs to be done.
We also plan to put in something for email monitoring if possible. We do not
have a mail server as of now as we use Google Mail.
I would be great if we get hardware RAID into it.
I also need dual-port or Quad-port NIC's as 5 public IP's are involved.
There are other requirements like storage should be around ( 5 X 1 TB ) as we
plan to take backups on same machine.
We cannot afford SAN or NAS now.
Any valuable inputs from people into Servers will be highly appreciated.
