Well Guys,

According to me Animation is a vast subject consists of 2D, 3D, VFX, and a
lot to list...
So please choose your interest and if you talk about opportunities, that
depends upon your interest and your utmost skill in that.
It is all your interest which matters.

In general designers with scripting skills have good opportunities(mostly
web based, 2D),
If you say 3D, VFX these guys have a very limited opportunities, but a
limited number of people, this is common in many of the technologies.

I don't know if I can list here but UX is the most crucial subject of the
future. The "WoW" factor is what everyone wants.
companies started patenting their UX. So UX specialists go on...

Thanks,
K
