Hi: I am curious to know which of the following device is faster / has high performance ? - Standard IDE HDD - Flash Disk Drive
Let's take the case of Samsung, which makes both IDE Disk and Flash Disk (if possible). Should the comparison take into account - . storage capacities (normalized over the less capacity device) . read/write block size ? Is there a range say 1 - 4Gb wherein Flash Disks are faster and 20 - 40Gb when IDE HDD are faster ? What parameters should be taken into account when evaluating performance ?
