Hi ,
This is after the installation is done.
Go to Applications-->Settings-->Network.
Here you can give your IPAddress and DNS .
Then Click on the Active Button.
This will set your IPAddress.
If you want to assign it using command line,then go through the manual for
"ipconfig".
man ipconfig
Connecting to internet also depends on Internet Service Providers.
