Hi All
I have mysql5 installed on my RHEL4 machine.
I am running a application on another machine (say machine1)
which has mysql4 installed.
I am trying to connect from machine1
to my machine where it is getting some errors:
Here is the list of errors that i faced:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ mysql -h 172.16.6.46 -u root
ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on '172.16.6.46' (113)
Even in my my.cnf file ,i have commented the line skip-networking .
When i try to login from machine to machine1, it is getting logged in
without any errors and warnings.
But the vice-versa doesn't.
I dont know clearly what sort of problem it is. Some times, it says,
mysqld is running with --skip-grant-tables on machine1.
