I might not be technical enough to answer this. I only know this from a user point of view. But, we use a service provider who hosts only Plone sites. We do have the access to shell - we never need it.
Your service provider needs to install Plone on the server for you, and you could just go ahead and use it. You would not require access to anything else. Python and Zope get installed with Plone. knk On 12/11/06, Saifi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi: > > Is it possible to run Plone/Zope on a standar webhosting account > or do we require access to shell and flexibility to run daemons ? > > Does Zope need to run as a server ? or just the presence of the > libraries along with Python runtime will suffice ? > > Please let me know. > > thanks > Saifi. > >
