Hi all:

I am trying to do the following experiment with SSH.

There are two machines mc1 and mc2 running identical version of the Suse Linux
distro
and have X11 forwarding setup in /etc/ssh/ssh_config and /etc/ssh/sshd_config
file.

1. I login in machine mc1
2. xhost +
3. ssh -l saifi mc2

Now, I am on machine m2.
4. ssh -l saifi mc1

Basically, I am trying to login back from the machine mc2.

While the system lets me login back, the following warning response is shown as
well -

Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding.
Last login: Sun Dec 31 14:33:29 2006 from 192.168.1.3

My query is - what does the line 'using fake authentication data ...' mean ?

Can somebody throw light on this ?

Thanks in advance.

thanks
Saifi.
