Hi: Most Linux distros eg. SuSe, Fedora, Ubuntu etc. provide online updates using repository model.
Is the design of Repositories across the various distro's same or are there any specific differences ? Does anybody know the main points that make each of the repos unique or better in some aspect ? Is there any open source project that is working on making a single unified repository for a given platform (say i586) available ? I understand there would be library version, linker, glibc issues etc. Thanks in advance thanks Saifi.
