Subject: Open Solaris2.10 installation is failing
Hi,

Open Solaris2.10 installation is failing on my machine.
I tried installing it using GUI, but it reverted back to text mode as
it requires minimum of 400MB of RAM.I had only 256MB RAM.

It requires a primary partition and doesn't take extended partition as in Linux.

I selected Entire Distribution which requires almost 7GB of space.
But while installing it shows as if it is installing only 3.5GB.

To install 342MB of software, it took almost 1 hour of time.
After this I got the errors.

I tried several times and I got different errors each time.

Following are some of the errors I see.

1)sence Key: ICRC error during UDMA

2) Could not create product file
    Could not install all packages
    mkdir : "/a/rar/sadm/launcher" : I/O Error
    product installation failed

Is this something got to do with my machine hardware, corrupt CDs or
something wrong with the software?

Machine Info:

Intel 845GVSR Mother Board
Intel PIV 2.48GHz processor
256 MB RAM
40GB samsung IDE hard disk

please help me out with this problem.

Thanks,
Narender Rao
