Hi all:

Debian founder Ian Murdock, leaves Debian project
to join SUN Microsystems OpenSolaris project.

Update on his blog at
http://ianmurdock.com/2007/03/19/joining-sun/

In a recent interview to LinuxFormat magazine (UK),
Ian had a few things to mention -
. Debian is "missing a big opportunity"
. To a certain extent that Debian is in a lot of ways process run amok
. Xtreme philosophy and politics can slow/down kill a good project.
. Part of the reason why Ubuntu has done well: "there is a strong leader"
