Hello Sir,
On FC5/6, you can access the network configuration tool
(Desktop -> Administration -> Network)
or
type neat in terminal (while running XWindow).
Click on the [New] menu option and choose xDSL for new Device type.
(this is Broadband technically speaking)
Click [forward] button and
and fill in the configuration details eg.
. provider name (eg. BSNL DataOne)
. username (eg. pinkutinku_hyd)
. password
. [y] obtain DNS info from DHCP server
After completing the setup, go back to the Network Configuration window
and then select the connection.
Click on the [Activate] button in the toolbar.
and Wait for a few seconds.
Now in the terminal prompt, type
$ ping www.twincling.org
This should work. Give it a try.
Hope this helps.
thanks
Saifi.
