Hello Sir,

On FC5/6, you can access the network configuration tool 
(Desktop -> Administration -> Network)
or 
type neat in terminal (while running XWindow). 

Click on the [New] menu option and choose xDSL for new Device type.
(this is Broadband technically speaking)
Click [forward] button and 
and fill in the configuration details eg. 
     . provider name (eg. BSNL DataOne)
     . username (eg. pinkutinku_hyd)
     . password 
     . [y] obtain DNS info from DHCP server

After completing the setup, go back to the Network Configuration window
and then select the connection. 
Click on the [Activate] button in the toolbar.
and Wait for a few seconds.

Now in the terminal prompt, type
$ ping www.twincling.org

This should work. Give it a try.
