Zone Transfer in DNS terminology is one of the many mechanisms deployed to replicate DNS data. Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNS_zone_transfer However, I am not sure what is 'zone distribution'. I will check it out and let you know. thanks Saifi.
