Possible candidates are- . OpenSuSe 10.2 . Fedora 7 . Ubuntu 7.04 However, I have not used any of the above on a 64-bit system. The only Operating Systems I use on an AMD64X2 Athlon box are BSD inspired, ie. FreeBSD 7.0 current and Gentoo Linux 2007.0 Gentoo is a Linux distro inspired by FreeBSD model including ports. I use the minimal 53MB boot CD and then configure, build and install the OS from scratch. If you want to be in the auto and GUI mode, you are better off with the distro's mentioned above. Hope this helps. thanks Saifi.
