While it does support ODF, it does not seem to be OpenSource ! In case you used it, how has been the experience say compare to 'OpenOffice' ? Please share your experiences. thanks Saifi.
Hi Saifi, Lotus Symphony is said to be open-source(though I don't know where the sources are!) It is supposed to be a stripped down version of OpenOffice with a re-branded GUI. I feel OpenOffice itself needs a lot of improvement and it is really a pain top use it especially if you are used to MS Office. IBM would donate some resources to OpenOffice to make it better. I failed to install Lotus Symphony beta on my Ubuntu lappy but will try again later. See: http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/news/news.phtml/10254/11278/IBM-Lotus-Symphony-Freeware-Suite.phtml -- Satish
