Mike Meeks is an OpenSource developer and distinguished Novell engineer
well known for this work on GNOME and OpenOffice.

One of his unique contributions in 'decreasing program load time'.
He created the 
 . direct binding
 . hashvals
 . dynsort 
implementations of binutils and glibc.

He is an avid promoter of ODF (Open Document Format) which is now
an ISO standard, which takes document interoperability among
various completing office suites.

Highly accomplished OpenSource engineers are also pragmatic
individuals and Mike Meek is one such engineer.
