Hi Deepasri: You may want to explore an area that interests you or something you read about or saw on TV and it caught your fancy. I will try to put across some suggestions from this perspective, . eg. you read about databases and wanted to explore them closely try to begin with SQLite and try to write programs. As you build up your understanding, you can try to use in an application that solves a problem. you may want to write a bookmark manager, where all the ratings, URL, page title, last visited on can be stored in SQLite data base. For starter's you can build a console application. Later you may want to develop a Qt/C++ or Mono.net/C# user interface for it. Over a period of 3-4 months, you would have developed a nice application that not only completes your final yr. project requirements, but also helps you learn useful technology.
