hello, i am planning to implement a functionality for YUM ( in RPMS based linux distros) , which provides rollback options , i had completed the initial coding in perl, but i have lost the files somewhere during a re-installation of my linux distro ,.... so please give me suggestions like what features we can look for, what can be the best programming language to be used and all, ..the following link gives a good idea how the idea actually started and what it aims at :
