Hi all,

I had sometime back tried to install ubuntu on the desktop of a
visually impaired student from Samarthanam since he was trying to use
pirated versions of JAWS which is rather expensive on a pirated copy
of windows. I shall pay him a visit again sometime soon...

I floated a mail in a technical group asking bout new tools n got -

I wish we cud get some of the geeks to come join hands with us
(working on it! ;)). Wat better way to give back to the open source
community and 'otherwise'? :)

I think Sattva can use the theme - accessibility technology - and I
wud personally like to help with the same and mebbe on open source
initiatives in the social sector.

Also for those interested in promoting Linux -

A fest in Bangalore to promote Linux usage - Its a localization
initiative which mainly promotes Kannada/Linux usage.
Go through the details here:

PS: They want volunteers to install Ubuntu on people's laptops/systems :-)

I m hoping to get some volunteers from there as well! :)

have fun,
Mynk
