Hi Satish: The changes you suggested regarding mouse movement fixed the issue. i accessed the special url about:config in the address bar and made the changes. There are too many settings out there. How does one figure out what each of those things do ? any documentation seen anywhere ? The behaviour was noticed along the line drawn on the touchpad, but not on the entire touchpad. Any suggestions on how i can fix the vertical scrollbar issue ? I've just finished compiling KDE 3.5.9 from the sources and am running Gentoo 2008.0 beta 2 on x86. thanks Saifi.
