The candidate should have excellent knowledge on operating systems and should have experience in testing various OS components such as kernel, filesystems, RAS features (like kernel crash dump), networking etc. ## The candidate will get a good opportunity to work closely with talented Linux kernel developers in IBM across the globe and also with other opensource communities. # Desired Experience: 5-8 years # BTech(BE)/MTech(ME) from a reputed institute ## Mandatory skills: # Software: 1) Strong understanding of Linux kernel internals (like memory/process management, signals, scheduling, synchronization,filesystems, device drivers etc) 2) Good knowledge of CPU architecture (x86, PowerPC, Cell platoforms) 3) Use of various tools like debuggers, compilers/assembler, editors 4) Good scripting skills (shell, perl,python etc) 5) Good understanding of Software development life cycle and various test processes/methodologies. ## Soft skills: 1. Excellent oral and written communication skills 2. Ability to work independently, with least guidance from peers 3.
