It appears that the device scan rate for wireless networks
matches the connection drop rate. One way to confirm this is to
define a default wireless connection (access point) in Fiberlink app
and turn off scanning.

Usually for most customers, using Cisco VPN client, two profiles are
configured:
  1. wired access profile
  2. wireless access profile

As an interesting aside, sometime, i did an experiment wherein i used
Tata Indicom Plug-2-Surf CDMA connection as underlying transport and 
then use Cisco VPN client. The only way one could connect was to use
the 'wireless access profile'.
