Here is some background to help everybody understand how this
large list of distro became possible :-)
At the sidelines of Open Source Summit 2008, we had a wonderful
discussion on what distros can be made available.
Everybody agreed that given the limited resources of the
Twincling Technology Foundation it may not be possible without
significant community support and partnership.
Sampath Inturi stepped up to the occassion and came forward to
provide the distro CD/DVDs for the community and geeks at
nominal cost. i'd request Sampath to fill in the details.
Raja Naresh and Manohar Vanga, two very active community members
(and now Community Leads) want to work on something similar
with also a popularity metric calculator among other things.
Remember Manohar's post on Linux vending machine.
Personally, i'm very happy that all the distro software CD/DVDs
are available for the user and enthusiast's community.
I'd also like to extend invitation to other enterprising members
of the Twincling community or friends of Twincling community to
come forward and help make the 'idea of software CD/DVDs and
circulating library' a reality.
All ideas and suggestions are very welcome.
Have a great year ahead !
kind regards
Saifi.
