Please help me for how to create our own MIB or OID and how to send a trap other SNMP manager. We can't create MIB. As you are saying RFC1213 MIB - Means it a standard. MIB is an aggregation of OID. but i need to send a trap in different manager which is developed in another way or .... before you send a trap I think that particular MIB to be loaded, compailed in that manager first. Then it will lead to another question how to load, Configure/Compile a MIB? and what is NMS projects? But are there something else that make it more attractive than commercial NMS. Really I don't know much about OpenNMS. I can say below are the advantages of Adventnet Rich UI End user can run the product easily, faster Very less risk, Don't need to spend much time about customizing b'coz they support us :) But I think if we have time openNMS is always good to play with.....
