Format the corrupted Ubuntu installation(/media/disk), move all the data in /usr or /var or one of the directories in / to this newly formatted(/media/disk). Then goto fstab and change its mount point from /media/disk to /usr or /var or whichever directory you chose. Thanks & regards ST
