Hi Manohar: Please refer to the Twincling Book of System Configuration. Gentoo Linux System configuration is available at http://www.twincling.org/node/237 It's been there for quite sometime. Some of us wrote this stuff as we worked through Gentoo 2008.0 thanks Saifi.
