Hey, i am NOT an expert so, this is just my idea.

Firstly, WHY do u want to remove it without the safely remove hardware? Ok 
fine, even if you did remove it, as far as i know, there is a very very little 
chance that the PC would be affected. Generally, PC will not be affected at 
all. and about pen drive, yes it may get corrupted.

well, in order to remove a pen drive, you can go to my computer >
pendrive,EJECT. That may work. Also, if you STOP all you activity with the pen 
drive and simply pull it off, NOT MUCH damage (in fact maybe NO damage) will be 
done, as you are doing nothing. But i must warn you, sometimes, programs run in 
the background and MAY access the pendrive and removin it at that time may 
corrupt the pendrive.

I hope i have answered your question. There are other commands that can be 
entered in the command line to safely remove a pen drive, but i really am not 
sure about them.
