>Lat summer there was discussion about Tablet Weavers and Complex >Weavers. It concerned tablet weavers meeting during the Complex >Weavers conference after Convergence. I have looked for a study >group in Complex Weavers that might include Tablet Weaving but don't see one.
The CW conference in 2008 did have a significant focus on TW, with a number of seminars that focused on various aspects of TW. This was at least in part b/c our keynote speaker was expected to be Peter Collingwood. In the event, of course, Peter was unable to make the trip across the Pond. He did, however, prepare a wonderful "keynote speech" by way of an excellent video, which was shown at the conference and is available for sale at a very modest price through Complex Weavers. As to whether there's a TW study group within CW, that's an interesting question. There used to be such a study group, but a number of years ago, that group decided to spin itself off into a separate organization. And thus was TWIST born! So if you're looking to join a group that focuses on TW, TWIST is your organization. For more info, go to: http://www.tabletweavers.org/ Ruth www.blueloomdesigns.com
