Egon Hansen style is very easy to use. First: color the tablets red on one side and blue/black at the opposite side - the two other sides are without any color. 2: numer on all the pattern tablets - 1-2-3-4-5 etc along the tablets (I use 0 for 10-20-30 so that my tablets are numberet from 1-0 in sets so that I can take as many sets as i need f.inst. 4 sets for 40 tablets)
Then to read a row from Egon Hansen: 1 row contains a line with numbers and a line with colored dots red ore blue/black 1 2 3 8 9 1 2 3 4 b r r b b = b = black dot red = red dot (I could not make the dots in the mail. Here the tablets are turned forwards, when there is a number, backwards when there is no number - so the tablets 1-2-3-8-9-1-2-3-4are turned forwards - away from weaver and the the tablets number 4-5-6-7-0 are to be turned backwards - against weaver. when you have turnet the tablets the unequal tablets have the colored sides up according to the color of the dots. When you weave the next row - you will get the dots on te equal numbered tablets. The hard part here - and that is not so hard anyway - is how to start the band, but look at the 2 first rows and arrange your tablets after them. But the tablets are alwayes threaded with one color along the red side and the other color along the black side of the tablets. I hope that is understandible Yours Irene
