the problem was caused by an unicode string. Changing this line:

os.path.basename(video['title'] + "." + video['format']) + "\"")
to this:
|| "attachment; filename=\"" +
str(os.path.basename(video['title']) + "." + video['format']) + "\"")|
fixes it.
