On behalf of the Twisted contributors I announce the release candidate of
Twisted 26.10.0.

It contains a few security fixes, the majority of them (if not all)
detected via LLM tools.

This is the last release with support for Python 3.10.0

This is the first release in which we have updated the contribution policy
to explicitly reject LLM generated code.

Some highlighted new features:
*  conch ssh supports mlkem768x25519-sha256.
* TCP client now supports SO_REUSEPORT and SO_REUSEADDR TCP socket flags

The release and NEWS file is available for review at

 https://github.com/twisted/twisted/pull/12880

Release candidate documentation is available at

https://twisted--12880.org.readthedocs.build/en/12880/

Wheels for the release candidate are available on PyPI

    python -m pip install Twisted==26.10.0rc1

Please test it and report any issues here on GitHub PR

If nothing comes up in the next few days, 26.10.0 will be released based on
the latest release candidate... most probably on the 27th of Oct

I would like to use this opportunity and thank https://thinkst.com/ and
https://www.sftpplus.com/ for the ongoing financial support.

Regards
