I'm sure this has been discussed before but I haven't been able to find
anything in the archives of this group or twister-dev: why does Twister use
a separate blockchain instead of using Namecoins?

A related question: Is it possible to post to the Twister torrent cloud
using a public key instead of a name registered in the blockchain? If
Twister were forked to use the Namecoin blockchain, would there be any
possibility of interoperability? (I'm not planning on doing any of this,
just curious.)
