There are suggestions of *renaming*:

RT @lohang the negative feelings regarding promoted posts are largely due 
to the experience people are having on Twitter, as far as I saw. 
Twister's "promoted posts" should be renamed in a meaningful way to convey 
what they actually do!

RT @mrb something along the lines of "awarded broadcasts"
