AngularJS is a perfect match for Bootstrap. They are using Bootstrap extensively as well.
It is way more powerful than Backbone. It's a complete framework compared to Backbone, removing all boilerplate code, letting you test your app easily, having great documentation, letting you use regular JS data types for your models (Backbone wraps your models into objects), regular HTML + extended HTML for your dynamic views (Backbone doesn't help you much here), regular JS functions for your controllers etc. It has way larger community than Backbone and is way more better architectured since it's a Google product. I am in my third week and I have never built an app this fast. My cents.
