I'm also having a similar issue and I found a workaround: masonry plugin<http://masonry.desandro.com/> . This article<http://www.deanclatworthy.com/2012/09/responsive-twitter-bootstrap-masonry/>was very useful for integrating the plugin with bootstrap. It's not perfect, but I'm gonna use it, at least temporarily until I get the proper way to do it.
