Here's javascript that doesn't work:

$('#eModal').modal({keyboard:true,"backdrop" : true,"show" : true}); // 
same if backdrop: "static"

this does work, though without the background

$('#eModal').modal({keyboard:true,"backdrop" : false,"show" : true});
