The primary point of bootstrap is to remove ever having horizontal scrolling with a responsive design concept. But if you just want to use the structure they provide, you would just need to define how wide the outermost wrapper is on your page, and then use the fluid layout of bootstrap v2. The fluid rows will provide 100% coverage within your container.
