I know this isn't a real solution to the problem, but i hope it gets you 
closer to fixing it. to get them both the same width, make sure they are 
both inheriting their width from the same class. if you have firebug (for 
firefox) or google chrome, right click and inspect element. it's a handy 
tool for seeing where elements are inheriting their properties.
