Yes, I too have experienced these things (namely searching from:user showing results from months ago while their actual timeline is still active). Eventually they have each seemed to fix themselves, but I have no idea if it was b/c somebody fixed it manually, or if it was some glitch that just magically went away...
Anyway, yes I've seen this behavior and have gotten many questions from my app users when they notice it, too.
